Today David Bisbal is rehearsing in Las Vegas for tonight's Latin Grammy
homage to Juan Gabriel and the Latin Grammy awards ceremony (5th Nov).
Juan Gabriel is a
singer and songwriter who is one of the
most famous living representatives of the Mexican
ranchera, ballad,
mariachi, and pop music styles.
David Bisbal took to the stage to sing a classic song by Juan Gabriel. Visibly emotional he begun one of Juan Gabriels first hits from more than three decades ago;Yo No Nací Para Amar. Other celebrities each doing their own homage to Juan Gabriel included Enrique Iglesias, Luis Fonsi & Shaila Dúrcal. |

The day started with the mayor declaring the four artists distinguished guests of Santo Domingo in an informal ceremony. The award ceremony took place that evening. The "Premios Casandra" recognise people who have been outstanding in the world of art and culture.
