David Bisbal is the most international artist to come out of Spain in the last decade and is, currently, one of the most world-famous Spanish performers and a genuine Latin pop sensation. Since he embarked on his solo career in 2002, he has sold well over 5 million albums and has certified over 60 Platinum and Gold albums.
David Bisbal has received more than 60 awards from the music industry, most notably the Latin GRAMMY® for Best New Artist (2003) and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album (2012) for “Una noche en el Teatro Real,” as well as several Latin BILLBOARD® awards for his albums, two ONDAS awards for Best Album with “Corazón latino” (2002) and Best Spanish Artist (2006), the World Music Award for World’s Best Latin Artist and two IFPI Platinum Awards certifying his sales in Europe.
He has shared the stage with some of the world’s greatest artists, and has recorded with international pop stars, such as Rihanna and Miley Cyrus. In 2011, he kicked off his most personal project to date: his first acoustic tour. This record-breaking tour featured over 125 concerts in Spain, Latin America, the United States, Canada and major European capitals, including Paris and London.
